facial to start the day sounds great, right? Luckily for the models at Rejina Pyo’s Autumn/Winter 2022 show, Team Sunday Riley was at the ready, lavishing them with facials to ensure the perfect showtime glow.
Prep began with the ‘deeply purifying and nourishing’ Ceramic Slip cleanser. Suitable for application to either damp or dry skin, it was used to remove any dirt or impurities from the face, and ensure maximum hydration.
Next, models were lathered with Pink Drink, the brand’s Firming and Resurfacing Essence. The light, peptide-infused mist balances and revitalises the skin to create a seamless canvas. With extracts of apricot and cucumber, it is truly refreshing. Brand founder Sunday Riley herself is “passionate about balancing the skin’s natural microbiome”, said resident facialist Jurga Maciene, emphasising the importance of prebiotics for the skin.
And it wouldn’t be a Sunday Riley skincare routine without their bestselling Good Genes Glycolic Acid treatment. The all-in-one AHA brightening mask provides an instant glow, with results showing in three minutes - in fact, this is scientifically proven. Maciene reveals why Good Genes is essential to everyone’s skincare routine: “Within a few seconds you can see that brightening. This is due to the lemongrass extract which gives the effect of tighter, firmer skin but is also super gentle and hydrating because of the prickly pear extract.”
The routine’s last steps were the Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream and the ICE Ceramide Moisturising Cream, also brand bestsellers. Auto Correct is notorious for eliminating tired-looking eyes, a real gift for the countless models who had been hopping from show to show. Packed with caffeine and Brazilian ginseng root extracts, it quickly reduces puffiness, dark undereyes and fine lines. Finishing off with ICE, the lightweight moisturiser plumps the skin with moisture due to the formula’s coconut and beetroot extracts while the ceramides, vitamin F and pomegranate sterols work with the skin’s natural barrier to get the right balance - it’s the perfect skin protection for any storm, even Eunice.
