f you have vacation skin wardrobes on your mind then Thandi Maqubela is here to give you the goods. The London-based beauty, fashion and lifestyle influencer and Legal Director, is breaking down her favoutire products to pack in your carry on this coming summer.

With over 11 years experience in the legal world, Maqubela is responsible for a team of in-house lawyers at Deloitte, aligned with the Tax and Legal department. On top of this, Maqubela has established a cult following on Instagram, sharing her beauty and style tips to thousands of followers.

The first quarter of the year just so happens to be the most popular time of the year to get those vacation trips booked, so whilst the weather here in London might make the idea of holidays and warm weather seem like a far-away idea, now is actually the perfect time to start thinking about your summer skin…

Below Thandi Maqubela shares her essentials:

The Long-Haul Essential A product, or component, that I really rely on when I am traveling - especially on long haul flights because my skin gets really dry and I think everyone experiences the same thing - is hyaluronic acid. Obviously, you layer with a good moisturiser to keep hydration locked in.

I’ve currently been using this product by Victoria Beckham in partnership with Augustinus Bader and I am almost finished – this feels like absolute luxury and I use it after my Beauty Pie mist. It sinks really well and I feel really hydrated and it isn't heavy at all so I really like this product.

The Best SPF I have spoken about this SPF before, and it’s from Beauty Pie. I really really rate this product for various reasons: first of all no white cast, no white cast whatsoever which is a win for me. It’s very very thin but it gives really good coverage.

I really enjoyed it when I was in London but also here (on vacation). I go running in the morning and it’s really hot where I am and it doesn't sting my eyes and it doesn’t streak so that’s a win of a product.

Combating Dehydration Thirdly, I have reintroduced niacinamide into my routine. Interestingly before I came out, I went for a facial treatment and the facialist had noticed that my skin was less dehydrated since the last time she had seen me... The only thing that I’ve really changed in my routine is that I had introduced this niacinamide. So I think this is my third or fourth bottle of this stuff. It is really really good.

Small Size, Big Impact Then these (BeautyPie minis) are really cute, travel sized body products. This is the body cream, I have the body exfoliator in the shower – they smell like heaven. I used it for the first time last year and I think and it smells like summer. I think that’s what I associate it with and I really like the cute sizes.
