A Look Inside The 'Future of Style Through Community' Dinner With Nike

The tone was set with a champagne reception, and in true Stack World style the conversations were flowing before the first course had even been served.

As guests took their seats along two rows of banquet tables, decorated with vibrant bursts of violet orchids, host for the evening, journalist and lead of the Guardian's Pop Culture Podcasts, Chanté Joseph, welcomed attendees, and set the tone for conversation with depth.

As a discussion dinner, The Future of Style Through Community deep-dive was centered on the idea of how those worlds come together as one, and how confidence, personal tastes, self expression and the city itself weave together.

With the first course of Westcombe and Lyonnaise onion croquettes, burrata alongside caponata of chard and Jerusalem artichoke, with mushroom crumble and black truffle came question number one: Who and what inspires your personal style and how does community inspire self expression?

Up next, as posed to the room by Joseph was: How does style and self-expression fuel your confidence? Paired perfectly with dry aged Hereford ribeye and mojo verde, roasted cauliflower and turbot in a bonito emulsion.

Pudding was a classic affair with white chocolate crème brûlée and apple tart tatin, the question to go alongside: How does sportswear play into your personal style?
