About Event Social housing and homelessness within our society is in desperate need of explicit understating from a gendered perspective. Women's experiences of housing, inclusive of their pathways in and out of homelessness are very different to mens. We must elevate conversation around the difficulties women and children face when it comes to adequate access to housing and the ramifications of societal structures upon women and their children. About Host Vicky Spratt is a freelance journalist, documentary maker and housing rights campaigner. Her 2016 campaign ‘Make Renting Fair’ highlighted the plight of 'Generation Rent’ and succeeded in getting letting fees for tenants in England banned.
